Ascension Wisconsin chose to close the Labor and Delivery Unit at St. Francis on December 23, 2022. This leaves the entire south side without Labor and Delivery services. We think this is a devastating and heartless decision and are fighting as a community and union coalition to save Labor & Delivery and the broader services of the hospital.
