One of the fundamental principles upon which our organization was founded is that members should be free to develop their faculties.
We believe that freedom to think, as you will and to speak as you think are indispensable to the discovery and spread of political truth; that without free speech and assembly, discussion would be futile; that with free speech and assembly, discussion affords protection against the spread of noxious doctrine.
We developed this website to provide our members with another method of communicating with the union. We are linked to our national and state affiliates, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and AFT Michigan. This site will also provide employment information and our resources we feel would be beneficial to our members.
