More than two dozen A&R Retiree Council members got a glimpse into the world of the Connecticut General Assembly as the Council’s Committee on Political Education (COPE) sponsored a training session on January 18, 2012 at the Legislative Office Building.
The city’s financial advisor, John Beirne, who has guided the Retirement Board’s choices all along, said these “are difficult times” and figuring out where to make money is tougher than ever.

The Community service team is up and running. December's activity was to feed a dinner to people in Middleburg who needed a hot meal. About a dozen CRTA members helped out cooking and serving. About 30 people were served. Thank you for working over your Christmas vacation.
