As of July 31, 2012, we have had 7 negotiating sessions. We are pleased to inform you that we have made progress at each session. We are still meeting on a regular basis as well as meeting as a team in between each session.
As a side note, our unit member, John Landers, attended the national AFT Conference in Detroit this past week. We look forward to hearing about his experience at our next membership meeting in the fall.

Your negotiating team is back to the bargaining table.
We met on July 25th for our first session in a while and are happy to report that the session went well.
A membership meeting has been scheduled for August 7th and the team will be available to answer any questions you might have.
Please know that we continue to fight for all of our members for a fair and equitable contract despite the poor economic climate.
