MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin--Members of the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses & Health Professionals, Local 5000, AFT, AFL-CIO voted Friday, October 20, 2017, at their Annual Fall Membership Meeting, for the officers who will lead their organization for the next two years.
The new leadership includes nurses and health professional leaders from across the state and from a variety of backgrounds. The elected leaders’ unique experiences are sure to enhance the work of the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses & Health Professionals and its vision of being recognized as a dynamic leader in ensuring the health of our community and the rights and living standards of our members and all healthcare workers in Wisconsin.
The newly elected officers are as follows:
President: Candice Owley, RN
Executive Vice President: Tracey Schwerdtfeger, HUC/Care Partner, Ascension-St. Francis Hospital
Treasurer: John Epple, Cytotechnologist, Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories
Secretary: Connie Smith, Surgical Tech, Ascension-St. Francis Hospital
