Contract Extended until November 5th--More bargaining sessions scheduled--The bargaining team has been working hard to bring your issues to management and find a way to get a good contract. The schedule has been challenging with may 12+ hour days. It became clear by Tuesday, October 27th that we would not have an agreement by the 31st, when the contract expired, so we all agreed to continue bargaining into November. Bargaining was scheduled for Monday, November 2nd from 9am to 9pm and again on Thursday, November 5th beginning at 9am, and continuing until we have a tentative agreement that can be brought to the members for a vote.

Button Day...
On Wednesday, November 4th, we are asking all members at work that day to wear a button showing your support. The button says: LOCAL 5001 UNITED - BECAUSE WE CARE. Think of it like a Packer game day when most folks grab their green and gold. Well, on Wednesday, grab your union button and your red and white clothes and join the show of unity.

Many Agreements, but Much Still to be Settled...
